As we age, our vision changes with time. We place object farther or closer to us to be able to see or read clearly. At night, the struggle becomes more difficult. However, these are common eyesight problems as we grow older.

When you have sudden blurry vision, this is not a common change. If your vision suddenly becomes worse when you have no problems with it before, do not disregard it as it could be a symptom of a more serious illness.

Some of the medical health reasons are:
Multiple Sclerosis
When a person has multiple sclerosis, it affects the optic nerve and causes inflammation to it. It brings about an optic neuritis condition, which can result in loss of color eyesight, blurry vision, and pain in the eyes such as when moving it.

Glaucoma
It is considered as a slow and silent disease. When there's glaucoma, the eyes experience an unbalance pressure. Usually, a person notices some abnormality in their eyesight, the glaucoma is already in an advanced condition.

Stroke
Stroke can also be the cause of sudden blurry vision, loss of sight, and double vision. Stoke prevents the circulation of blood in the brain. There are more signs and symptoms of stroke, including confusion, facial muscle drooping, difficulty in speaking, and dizziness.

Migraine Headaches
A change in vision could be a sign of migraine. A person who is susceptible to migraine usually experience seeing spots, eye sensitivity to light, and blurry vision.

Diabetes
A diabetic person has a tendency to have diabetic retinopathy due to low blood sugar. This affects the blood vessels of the retina, resulting in the swelling of the macula. If not treated properly, the eye degeneration due to diabetes can result in blurred vision or blindness.

Brain Tumor
A certain kind of pressure develops inside the skull when there's a brain tumor. One sign of a tumor is blurred vision, nausea, seizures, chronic headaches, vomiting, and abnormal drowsiness.

Conclusion
Our eyes are among the essential parts of the body. Vision is a bodily function that,, without it, your life would be incomplete. If you have sudden blurred vision, take the matter seriously. You want to manage and cure whatever underlying condition it has.

I find it alarming to learn that having blurry vision could be a sign that you have glaucoma, which is a silent disease that degrades your eyesight. My boss told me that this started happening to him last week, and it has affected his work productivity as well. I'll be sure to recommend that he visit a vision care specialist who can diagnose his eyes for him and get it treated.
